• There are several list floating around with special values for active duty and veterans. These list are national in nature and many of the local businesses may not be offering such discounts. Please verify the special offers before expecting it - and if a local company is not providing what was stated, simply thank them. Companies that do offer special values do so out of the good graces and ability to do so.
• Each business may have their own requirement for verifying veteran status. In all known cases an Active/Reserve Duty ID card, DoD United States Uniform Services ID card or a DD-214 are valid. Please cal the business of interest and verify their requirements.
• There is a "Padres Veterans’ Appreciation Card" issued only to veterans. This card has not been verified for use at any of the locations below. Hopefully next year this card will be widely accepted in the San Diego area. You can find out where to get one and which businesses have agreed to accept the card at the United Veterans Council of San Diego at www.sduvc.org.
